CONGRATULATIONS TO THE HOPE/UCLA DENTAL MISSION TEAM 2010!
From June 14 - 26, 2010, a group of US trained dentists and dental students from the UCLA School of dentistry joined a team of dentists in Vietnam for a joint dental mission to Quang Nam Province, Vietnam. Together, the team helped over 1000+ patients by performing numerous dental extractions, light dental work procedures and other dental related works. The team worked from dawn to dust to provide needed dental care to the disadvantaged communities in Quang Nam Province.
The 2010 Summer Dental Mission has three main objectives: (1)to provide an opportunity for selected University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry students an opportunity to engage and participate in a dental mission to Vietnam, (2) to provide dental services to selected underserved communities in Vietnam, (3) to allow the students a chance to interact with local dentist in Vietnam and learn about the Vietnamese health system.
